Join Us for AXPC’s Policy Maker Field Trip!

Each year, AXPC members host a field tour for Congressional staff members at a member company’s operational field sites. In past years, we’ve made stops in Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado and Oklahoma. This year, we’re headed to the Marcellus Shale play in Pennsylvania.

Last year’s trip was hosted by Cimarex Energy and took place in the SCOOP/STACK play in Canadian, Blaine and Kingfisher Counties, Oklahoma. Participants were treated to an all-day tour that included stops at a drilling rig, a water disposal facility, a shared seismic array, and a state-of the-art water recycling facility. Following the jam-packed day was a dinner with special guests – Cimarex CEO Tom Jorden, and Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Dana Murphy. Tour guests were able to ask questions about the business of oil and gas in Oklahoma. You can expect another packed agenda for this year’s trip. Participants will see how operations are regulated by federal, state, and local governments and learn about actions taken by Range Resources to protect the public health, the worker safety, and the environment.
