AXPC Welcomes Newly Confirmed Energy Secretary, Dan Brouillette

Washington – Yesterday, the United States Senate confirmed Deputy Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette, as the next U.S. Secretary of Energy to replace Secretary Rick Perry. American Exploration & Production Council (AXPC) CEO Anne Bradbury released the following statement today in response to Secretary Brouillette’s confirmation:

“AXPC congratulates Secretary Brouillette on his confirmation. As Deputy Secretary, Secretary Brouillette worked hard to advocate for regulations and policies that enable U.S. producers to continue America’s energy revolution,” said AXPC CEO Anne Bradbury. “We are confident Secretary Brouillette will build upon Secretary Perry’s legacy of promoting American energy in new markets around the globe and fostering modernization within the Department of Energy. Secretary Brouillette’s extensive experience in the private sector will help American companies, like AXPC members, better navigate the regulatory and political landscape while allowing them to pursue innovation.”

Prior to joining the Department of Energy, Secretary Brouillette served as staff director for the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He was also a vice president at Ford Motor Company, and the head of public policy and senior vice president at the United Services Automobile Association (USAA).
