Welcome! Here on the AXPC blog, we’ll break down what the oil and gas industry is all about and all things our members are doing to make it even better. We hope you’ll use this as a resource to learn more about oil and gas production, and the bodies that regulate it. Check back often for new posts!
The use of hydraulic fracturing or “fracking” has played an essential role in boosting U.S. oil and natural gas production over the past decade. Hydraulic fracturing has been used to safely extract resources for decades, but there are still misconceptions about the process and how it is completed safely and in an environmentally friendly manner.
Becoming the world’s leading producer of both oil and natural gas has brought about tremendous economic benefits for America, particularly in the form of meaningful careers. In order to produce our natural resources safely and efficiently, the oil and gas industry needs hundreds of thousands of employees with a variety of backgrounds and skill-sets.
America is fortunate to have plentiful natural resource reserves underneath it. From Alaska, to Pennsylvania, we’ve discovered large amounts of accessible oil and gas reserves. Thanks to significant advances in hydraulic fracturing and other drilling technologies, the United States is able to take advantage of this abundant supply of oil and gas resources and use it to power our nation.
Environmental stewardship and corporate social responsibility are top priorities for AXPC member companies because our members employ people who live in the areas in which we operate. Every time you turn on a light, take a hot shower, or drive a car, do you ever stop and think about where that energy comes from? It’s easy to take for granted the source of our electricity and fuel that make simple activities in our daily lives possible.
Products derived from oil and natural gas touch nearly every aspect of your life; from the car you drive, to the power that heats your home, to the screen you are reading this blog on.
